It’s Time to Move - 1992 SBC President’s Address - Indianapolis, IN
Beginning in chapter two, verse one of Deuteronomy, the Bible says, “Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness…and we skirted Mount Seir for many days. And the Lord spoke to me saying: ‘You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward’” (NKJV).
God’s people, the people of Israel, had been poised and waiting to enter the Promised Land. Suddenly their faith failed them and their hearts were frozen in fear. Since we have been here this week Nevada Baptist have said again and again, “Thank you, thank you for coming to Nevada. Your coming has been a tremendous encouragement to us.” Let us go from here remembering to pray for them as they faithfully serve our Lord beyond the Bible Belt. Read More...

The atheists are against prayer in schools, the secularists are against prayer in schools, the humanists are against prayer in schools. And that is not the company we are to be keeping. Read More...
Southern Baptist Tradition: What Is It?
“What is Southern Baptist tradition?” Southern Baptist tradition is, on one hand, conservative theology and on the other, cooperative methodology! Our conservative heritage is based upon the belief that the Bible is the authoritative, inspired, infallible Word of God, inerrant in the original autographs. Read More...
